By the end of its first year as a non-profit organization, Tulsa Project Theatre staged two successful productions, The Rocky Horror Show and Rent, at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's, the Joint, completed the first phase of workshops of a new work, Nanyehi: Beloved Woman of the Cherokee, and staged a unique cabaret production, Broadway Your Way, as part of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust's SummerStage Festival.  Rocky Horror proved to be a popular success and Rent was produced under a cooperative working agreement with the University of Tulsa Theatre Department.

In August of this year, TPT announced a new partnership with and a new home in the Tulsa Convention Center's Assembly Hall.  The organization's second season offers family entertainment produced in conjunction with established local favorite events including Winterfest (Seussical) in December 2011 and OK Play (Annie) in June 2012.  In addition, TPT is honored to welcome back a Tulsa favorite, Ted Swindley, to serve as artist-in-residence while directing his critically acclaimed creation, Always...Patsy Cline in March 2012 and a brand new musical, Guess Who's Coming to Seder? during the company's New Musicals Month in May 2012.

Stay tuned and check back often for more announcements by Tulsa Project Theatre about coming productions and community partnerships.
